Program Overview
Research on leadership clearly shows the demonstrated link between the need to engage the hearts and minds of staff and the impact on productivity, quality and client service or patient care. A strong vision with clearly articulated and communicated objectives, that are cascaded throughout a school or department, results in a better understanding at the staff level of how their work connects to the larger picture.
The Columbia University Vision Program provides a framework and process for leadership teams to evaluate their current state, identify characteristics of the ideal future state, and set clear direction for moving forward.
What differentiates this vision program from others, is the structured process in which the vision statement is clearly articulated, strategic goals are developed relative to the key themes from the vision, and put into a compelling visual framework that can be articulated throughout all levels of the school or department.
