The Office of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action (EOAA) is responsible for developing and implementing the University’s nondiscrimination and affirmative action policies, procedures, and programs. In accord with federal, state, and local law, the University does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, gender, religion, creed, national and ethnic origin, citizenship, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, the actual or perceived status of an individual as a victim of domestic violence, status as a disabled or Vietnam era veteran, or any other legally protected status.

The EOAA Office offers information, consultation, and training to students, Faculty and Staff on the University’s EOAA policies. It also provides information and assistance to students, Faculty and Staff who wish to file formal complaints of discrimination and harassment under the University’s Discrimination and Sexual Harassment Policy and Procedure.

In fulfillment of its affirmative action obligations, the Office monitors the recruitment, selection, assignment, compensation, promotion, and termination of all employees and annually publishes the University’s Affirmative Action Plan.
