Special Events
The Faculty House has a variety of private rooms for meetings, seminars, conferences, recruiting sessions, luncheons, dinners, and social occasions. Gatherings of up to 300 persons can be accomodated with complete food and bar service available in all rooms.

Earl Hall and St. Paul’s Chapel offer various rooms for special events and memorable occasions, including the Dodge and Schiff Rooms in Earl Hall and the Auditorium, Choir Room and Gaustuvino Room in St. Paul’s Chapel. The Auditorium has a capacity of 200–300. A refundable security deposit of $250 is required to secure the rental of any of these spaces.

Beautiful St. Paul’s Chapel, a New York City Landmark Building, is available for weddings. To reserve a date and time for a wedding, please contact the Administrative Office. St. Paul’s Chapel has a wonderful organ and a beautiful concert piano that may be used for weddings. The Administrative Office will help provide an organist and can also recommend other musicians. Please note that any changes in the time or date results in the forfeiture of your security deposit. No runners, open flames, or throwing of objects (i.e., petals) allowed.
In addition, the Office of the University Chaplain is a great place to call if you are looking for an officiant for an interfaith, non-denominational or spiritually based wedding ceremony or same-sex commitment service. The Chaplain and members of Columbia’s United Campus Ministries conduct services not only in St. Paul’s Chapel, but in parks, restaurants and private homes around the city and the tristate area (and even as far afield as Yellowstone National Park).
