Benefits News: UPDATED: Aetna Webinars on the High Deductible Health Plan and Health Savings Account for Officers

We are pleased to offer benefits-eligible Officers an opportunity to learn more about Columbia University’s new High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) and Health Savings Account (HSA). You are invited to join Aetna for one of three webinars that will be held this month to discuss the HDHP and HSA.

During these live chats hosted by Aetna, you will have the opportunity to speak directly with and ask questions of an Aetna representative.

This session will teach you:

  • What the HDHP is and how it works
  • How the HSA works, including:
    • Making withdrawals
    • Using the HSA Debit Card
    • Using the HSA Checkbook
    • Online bill pay
    • HSA auto-debit
    • HSA investments
    • Recordkeeping
    • Tax reporting
  • How to pair the two to ensure that you can meet your healthcare needs
  • How prescription drugs are covered under the HDHP
  • How to use the Aetna Navigator™, an online tool that lets you manage your account

You can access the webinars from your work or personal computer, or any computer with an internet connection.There is no need to register.
